Clinical Overview
Dry Eye Syndrome is a chronic, often progressive condition characterized by insufficient lubrication or moisture on the surface of the eye. This leads to burning, stinging, redness, eye strain, and variable blurred vision. The most common cause is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), where the oil glands in the eyelids get blocked, causing tears to evaporate too quickly. We perform a scientific, multi-test analysis (tear film osmolarity, meibography, and tear breakup time) to determine the root cause. Treatment ranges from preservative-free ocular lubricants and punctal plugs to advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy which stimulates the blocked glands, providing long-lasting relief.
Advanced Treatment Options & Technology
Your Treatment Journey at SOCH
Dry Eye Diagnostics
We measure tear film quality, lipid layer thickness, and capture infrared scans of the meibomian glands.
Therapeutic IPL Treatment
Gel is applied, eyes are shielded, and gentle light pulses are delivered to the eyelids. Glands are then expressed.
Home Management Protocol
The patient returns home with a customized plan consisting of warm compresses, lid wipes, and specific drops.
